How America & EU funded the Milatary of 3 Land-locked African nations: Ethiopia, Uganda, and Burundi Occupy strategic Semi Somalia Peninsula ?
The Qaranka online
The main reason is America and EU without being blamed as Neo-Colonialism, funded Ethiopia, Uganda, and Burundi to do their dirty ground work in the Horn of Africa.
On 8 March 2007 the U.S.’s Washington Post newspaper wrote the following Somalia article:
A small number of U.S. Special Forces troops fought alongside Ethiopian troops in Somalia in December when they drove out a Somali extremist group that the U.S. has linked to al-Qaeda, according to a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the classified nature of the mission. The State Department has hired a major military contractor to help equip and provide logistical support to international peacekeepers in Somalia, giving the United States a significant role in the critical mission without assigning combat forces.
Acting as custodian force, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Burundi and who ever follows will be paid handsomely, but America and EU will take nearly all the Somalia resources as EU colonies did in the Spandau Berlin 1884 the Scramble of Africa.
The reason the U.S. took Somalia opposition groups to Eriterea is to use them as leverage in case Ethiopia demand equitable share of Somalia resources.
A Cuban writer that his name is evading me today once said that Cuba Island will rule the world. When asked to explain how? He replied, “Look the small Islands of Britain and Japan! Despite being small Island nations, they once dominated the world.”
The Roman Empire before the invention of money used to pay their soldiers’ salary in Salt.
One of the most sensitive International Marine debate is how the world can share the world’s Ocean resources with the land-locked nations, given dwindling land resources and sky-rocketing population growth.
The United Nations International Marine law states that nations can claim only 50 miles from the coast and the rest is international water, and up 150 mile is their Economic Zone. Libya rejected this law and declared 400 miles of Libya’s Gulf of Sidra as its sovereign territory. During late 80s Ronald Reagan Bombed Libya for claiming international seas. In addition, South Korea declared 200 miles from their coast as their sovereign territory.
The world’s Land-locked nations:
Africa: Ethiopia, Uganda, Brundi, Botswana, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, The Central African Republic, Chad, Niger, Togo, Mali, and Burkina Faso.
Asia: Magnolia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Nepal. The Former Soviet Union Islamic Republics such Kazakhstan though land-locked have Caspian and Aral seas that as big as the Somalia Peninsula.
Europe: Austria, Czech & Slovak Republics, Byelorussia, Switzerland, and Hungry.
Except Europe and Der Schwarze Gold rich Kyrgyzstan and Tajikisztan, Land-locked nations are in the World Poverty Index the poorest among the world.
According to international economic experts, the land-locked nations are the world’s poorest countries because they face two major problems:
1. Land-locked nations lack sea access to purchase cheap goods available in international markets. Even if they found a port, the fees cost land-locked nations pay to neighboring ports and the cost of transporting consumption goods through land Geographical per Mile per Kilo transportation cost drives prices which the population of the land-locked nations can’t afford to purchase.
2. Land-locked nations lack ports to export their goods to the international markets. For example, Bolivia is very rich in natural gas, but it can’t find a port to export its gas to North America.
Bolivia’s 2003 “La Guerra del Gas”, a popular uprising against the government triggered by the government decision to transport gas through the coast of Chile caused the resignation of the democratically elected president Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada because Bolivians still did not forget loosing their coast to Chile during the 1886 Chile-Bolivia war.
Indeed the U.N.’s support of the international military expert estimated 90,000 Ethiopian military occupying Somalia and massacring Somali babies, their mothers, and the disabled elderly can be added to World’s Seven Wonders such
the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian Pyramids, the Indian Taj Mahal, the Rome Coleseo-built 2, 000 years ago, and the Ruins of the ancient American Indian city in Peru: the Macchu Pichu.
Thanks to about 100 semi-literate Somali warlords and Islamic Fundamentalists who after easily getting the trust of the Somalia people gained easy fame and power betrayed the Somalis by sending young Somalis with AK-47 to attack Ethiopian Tanks, believing Eritrea which is covered American Ally would assist military while at the same time failing exhausting in asking the Islamic nations weapons such an anti-tank bombs to defend the invading the between 60,000 and 90, 000 Ethiopian heavily armed military.
No matter what the United States and EU call, Ethiopian, Uganda, and Brundi found their eternal dream of accessing a coastal land to get rid of their high poverty rate.
On 22 December 2006 in responding to U.N. authorizing Ethiopia to invade Somalia by lifting the UN Somalia Weapon Embargo, the EU issued one of their periodic Somalia communiqués which was more intended in solacing and shielding America from the international community after Ethiopia begins massacring the unarmed Somali civilians, that the U.N. lifting the Arm Embargo is intended to give international cover Ethiopia to invade Somalia and that Somalis have the right to defend their country.
Perhaps the EU has calculated that it’s better to kill two birds in one stone.
Though it’s a remarkable achievement- it took a while for America to figure out what clicks the EU in cooperating the U.S.-Ethiopia Somalia invasion.
Speaking about Ethiopian occupation of Somalia the American under Secretary of State for Africa Jennifer Frazer said it’s unfair that 70 million Ethiopians who live in peace have no coastal line, but 5 million Somalis who do not want to live in peace have a coast.
First, the EU by cooperating with the U.S. in authorizing through the UN Ethiopia to occupy Somalia enables the EU to thaw relation with the U.S. after their rift with the U.S. in the Iraqi invasion.
Second, the EU found that it’s better to let 70 million hungry Ethiopia seize the Somalia coast than have them show up in their Mediterranean coast because last week nine nations with population of nearly 100 million: Slovenia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Malta, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Latvia joined the EU Schengen Treaty.
This means goods and people can freely travel borders and air between the EU and these nations freely without facing or needing Visa or border control. What this means is that from now on the EU will not need the African migrants to supplement over their dwindling population to fill jobs.
But as the Cuban writer noted the Somalia Peninsula will be able to evict Ethiopian military from their land because for centuries coastal nations have the experience of defending their coasts. Though it’s easy to occupy coastal land with overwhelming force, it’s not easy keeping it because the coast allows the easy delivery of weapons.
In other words, Somalia’s nearly 2,000 mile long territorial coasts with world-wide distinct water-ways such the Red Sea, Bab el Mandeb, the Gulf of Aden, the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Cape of Socotara.
It’s much easier in shutting off militarily territorial borders than coastal land. Though they would have liked to do so, Ethiopia and America occupy Somalia but can’t seal-off Somalia’s long coastal lines. A Russian man that I met at a park told me that he works in a Russian sub-marine that travels almost any coast in the world without being noticed.
145,000 American troops and their international coalition forces, with the world’s most sophisticated weapons and surveillances failed sailing off the little land-border between Iraq and Syria.
What this means is that Somalis can bring defensive weapons from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Islamic Republic Pakistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the new Islamic Republics of former Soviet Union, the Republic of Turkey, which ruled Somalia during the Othman Empire, and the Arab League.
Now Somalis hope that finally American will realize that unjust wars the world is the loser and learn from Iraq, Vietnam and their 400-year-old history of being in this world.
